Thassos

The Greek island of Thassos is the most northern Aegean island located just 7 kilometres off the coast of Greece. It has been a best kept secret of Greece for a very long time. Most tourists whom have visited Greece have traveled to the more publicised Greek islands and can speak very highly of their experiences. But when asked about Thassos, very few even have heard the name.

Thassos is a place of inspiring beauty and has been nicknamed "The Emerald Island of the Aegean". It's an island covered in green forests where the trees stretch to the top of the mountains and down to the sands of the pristine beaches along its 100 kilometre coastline. Thassos is a remarkable place to visit, experience, and explore. It is quickly growing in popularity as a holiday destination as well as a place to buy a holiday or retirement dream home. Thassos also offers promising and affordable investment opportunities for those who seek an ideal place to invest.

Access to the island is very fast and very easy with two ferry ports operating all year. The main port is located in Thassos Town (Limenas) which connects to Keramoti (35 minutes), as the other ferry port is located in Skala Prinos which connects to the city of Kavala (75 minutes). There are also hyrdrofoils operating daily between Thassos and Kavala.
